Privacy policy

This covers the Date Night Club waiting list at datenightclub.co.uk. Joining the list is the opt-in. The form itself does not spell that out, so it is written here.

Who we are

What we store

When you join, we keep one record with:

• your email address
• your first name, if you give one
• your WhatsApp number in international form (+447…), if you give one
• a referral code we make for you
• the referral code of the person who sent you, if you opened their link
• how many friends have joined with your link
• the time you tapped Follow for Instagram, and for TikTok, if you do (we cannot check the follow itself)
• when you joined
• utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign, if they were on the link
• the first page address you landed on

Nobody pays on this site, and we do not store card details.

Email and WhatsApp

Joining the waiting list is your opt-in to marketing by email. We send a welcome note straight away, then write when launch gets close.

If you add a WhatsApp number, that is your opt-in to marketing on WhatsApp as well. This version of the site does not send a WhatsApp message. The number is stored so we can, once a message template is approved.

You can unsubscribe any time. Email hello@datenightclub.co.uk with the subject Unsubscribe. Say if that should cover WhatsApp too. We stop marketing. We can also delete the record if you ask.

Referrals

Opening a friend's link stores their code in a cookie for 30 days. If you then join with a new email, and it is not their own email, we add one to their friend count. Each friend who joins with your link takes £1 off your founding first-date price, down to £1.

Cookies and pixels

We set a few cookies ourselves:

• a referral cookie, for 30 days, if you open someone's link
• utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign, for 30 days, when those are on the link
• the first page you opened, so the signup record can keep it

Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Google Analytics 4 may load when those IDs are configured for the site. Pixel IDs are not written into the page source; they come from the site configuration.

How long, and your rights

We keep the waiting-list record until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the launch. You can ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion by emailing hello@datenightclub.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
